Start Your Journey In The Most Relaxed Fashion: Book Airport Parking In Advance
Let’s share with you my experience of the first vacation abroad where the flight was scheduled to depart at an ungodly hour of 5′clock! First of all I had to go through this extremely troublesome episode of dragging my brother out of the bed who was going to be my company for next eight days. Finally after we made ourselves decent enough to hit the road our struggle with our luggage began.
My brother Bill was too snob to wait for the services of public transport and with a luggage that seems to contain our provisions for entire yearthanks to Bill’s way of defining the comfort during vacationthis option was flatly ruled out. So the only option was to get to the airport by a taxi.
So we ordered a cab. The driver tucked the luggage somewhere inside the vehicle and we also tucked ourselves into it and Bill ventured to finish his incomplete sleep and finally we reached the airport.
Butterflies were flying inside my stomach with wild imaginations about the spices of an exotic holiday. But much of my excitements came to an abrupt stop as I was asked to foot the cab bill; it was really exorbitant. The figure didn’t seem to be any better than the price of my air ticket! The same heart break we had to suffer at the time of returning home. This time the luggage was even and we could not imagine to pull it through the public transport.
But next time Bill offered me to save from this heartbreak; he suggested why not we drive to the airport all by ourselves and leave the car in the high security parking area for a few days! The idea seemed to be a reasonable one; so I readily agreed. But all our dreams shattered as we reached the airport; the entire nation seemed to be taking holiday plunge and it was impossible to find a place for your poor car!
Just think of it! Little time left for reporting and we were still making rounds in the parking area to secure a place! This time those butterflies were all there but for entirely wrong reason that is for the fear of missing the flight.
At last we luckily found a place in the short term parking lot but again we had to cough up an exorbitant sum due to our lack of parking planning.
The time for next vacation and we were too seasoned to be fooled by all these hazards of parking. So for our next vacation we didn’t take any chance and booked airport parking well in advance.
The process of online booking seemed to be safe and easy and most importantly extremely hassle free. As you have a reservation you know that there is a secure place right there in the airport parking lot no matter how crazy the crowd is! And for us the budget travelers the money we could save by this little trick was big enough to buy us little luxuries during our trips.
So we have learnt it a hard way and it is now your turn to take cues from our experiences.
